A splendid original illustration by master Severino Baraldi , taken from the work Tartarin , likely inspired by the famous novel Tartarin of Tarascon by Alphonse Daudet. The artist, with his vivid and narrative pictorial style, manages to transport the viewer into the heart of the adventure, bringing characters and settings to life with great technical mastery.

Known for his long career as a historical and narrative illustrator, Baraldi has collaborated with some of the most important Italian and European publishing houses, including Fratelli Fabbri , Mondadori , Rizzoli , De Agostini and Piemme , contributing to school series, encyclopedias and illustrated collections that have marked the history of twentieth-century illustrated publishing.

This plate, measuring 38.5 × 45 cm , is in excellent condition and is a unique work, handmade with a traditional technique (probably tempera, acrylic or mixed media on cardboard), typical of high-quality editorial work from the 1970s to the 1990s.

A work that combines artistic and cultural value, perfect for collectors of fine art illustrations and those who appreciate the great tradition of Italian illustrated publishing. Each plate by Severino Baraldi is a fragment of visual narrative, crafted with extraordinary care and pictorial sensitivity.
